Valentines Day Cooking Class

431596_10150542478945095_1630976025_nThe Event: “Something for your Sweetheart – The Gift of Gastronomy” A cooking class to teach attendees how to prepare a four-course meal for their sweetheart on Valentine’s Day. Menu items had to be attainable for the home cook, and the ability to execute the timing successfully is important for a successful experience when they repeat it at home.

The Menu:

Hors d’Oeuvres:

  • Olive and Sundried Tomato Tapenade with Pita Chips
  • Roasted Garlic and Tomato Bruschetta with Croustini

Dinner:

  • Roasted Garlic and Butternut Squash Bisque, Garlic Croustini, Fried Sage Leaf
  • Spinach and Arugula Salad with Candied Pecans, Dried Cranberries, Shaved Apple, Champagne Vinaigrette
  • Chicken with Mushroom Dijon Cream Sauce, Wild Grain Rice with Water Chestnuts, Sugar Snap Peas and Carrots in a Brown Sugar – Balsamic Glaze
  • Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Chocolate Dipped Marshmallows rolled in Graham Cracker Crumbs, Chocolate Covered Bacon
